The results from the Civil Society Task Force Global Online Consultation will be launched on December 5th 2018, 1.30 pm at the Vienna International Centre (Conference Room C-1, 2nd floor C-Building).

The Civil Society Task Force (CSTF), a joint initiative of the New York and Vienna NGO Committees on Drugs, has conducted a global online civil society consultation – translated into all six UN languages and disseminated to thousands of NGOs around the world. The consultation sought the views of civil society regarding the 2009 Political Declaration and its targets, the work of civil society since 2009 and 2016, and the linkages between drugs and the Sustainable Development Goals.

At this lunchtime event, the results, key messages and recommendations from the consultation will be presented and disseminated for member state delegations.

Chair: Jamie Bridge, Co-Chair of the Civil Society Task Force
Opening Remarks: John Brandolino, Director, UNODC Division for Treaty Affairs
Presentation: Results from the global civil society consultation, Sheila Vakharia, Independent Research Consultant

To be followed by an interactive discussion, and lunch (provided).
