Call for Applications: We are looking for speakers for several CND Side Events

Deadline: 21 February 2022

The Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs is co-sponsoring several side events at this years CND (14-18 March 2022) and has been asked to nominate speakers. All events will be held online, dates and times will be communicated as soon as possible. 

In order to apply for a speaking slot, please fill out and submit the online form by 21 February, 11:45 p.m. CET, Vienna local time.  The length of the intervention will depend on the main organiser of the event but will likely be no longer than 5min. 

Please make sure that your abstract is relevant to the respective topic of the event, and clearly describes what you will be presenting about. Selected candidates will be notified the week of 28th February. 
The VNGOC will follow the guidelines established in 2018: https://vngoc.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/CSTF-Speaker-Selection-Guidelines-final-formatted.pdf. Indigenous applications are welcome.

EVENT 2: 
Thursday, 17th March 9AM CET: Responding to drug-related challenges in the cyberspace: Vulnerabilities and opportunities to engage civil society organised by UNODC  – we are looking for one or two speakers

EVENT 3:
Wednesday, 16th March 1.10PM CET: From Coercion to Cohesion: Increased access to health care services for people with drug use disorders and associated mental health disorders in contact with the criminal justice system  organised by UNODC – we are looking for one speaker, the speaker selection will be done jointly with the New York NGO Committee on Drugs (NYNGOC)

EVENT 4: 
Thursday, 17th March 8AM CET: Long-Term Effects Intra-Uterus Exposure to Synthetic Opioids organised by UNODC- we are looking for one speaker

EVENT 5: 
Tuesday, 15th March 11.10PM: The Humanitarian approach to drug policy: opportunities and challenges for an effective cooperation between public authorities and health-based organization organised by Italy –we are looking for one speaker
