We are looking for a civil society expert wishing to speak at a side event in the margins of the 32nd Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ, 22-26 May 2023). 

The Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs and the NGO Alliance on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice are pleased to co-sponsor the side event “Rethinking Criminal Justice Responses in Addressing Overdose in the Criminal Justice System” organized by the UNODC Prevention Treatment and Rehabilitation Section. 
The side event will be held in a hybrid format, on Thursday, 25 May 2.10PM to 3PM CEST (Vienna time, UTC+2) in the margins of the 32nd CCPCJ.

The side event will focus on emphasizing the significance of implementing multisectoral and multicomponent approaches to address overdose within the criminal justice system, along with the recent collaborative efforts of UNODC and its partners in this area. To apply to speak, please fill out and submit the application form by 7 May 2023, 11:45 p.m. CEST, Vienna local time.  The length of the intervention will depend on the main organiser of the event but will likely be no longer than 5min. 

Please make sure that your abstract is relevant to the topic of the event, and clearly describes what you will be presenting about.
