CND Special Event “Launch of the World Drug Report 2023”

The Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) commemorated the United Nations International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and launched the 2023 World Drug Report in an event held on 26 June 2023 at the Vienna International Centre and online.

The presentation of the World Drug Report 2023 was followed by a panel discussion that included presentations from academia and a statement from the VNGOC Chair, Matej Košir.

Three other civil society speakers, selected through an open call had the opportunity to make short interventions from the floor, focusing on core topics of the 2023 World Drug Report including drug related crime the Amazon Basin and innovations developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
