Application period: 15 to 26 January 2024

The 67th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) will be held 14-22 March 2024, with a high-level segment (14-15 March) and a regular segment (18-22 March). NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC can organize side events and exhibitions during the regular segment (18-22 March). Please note that only Member States can organize side-events during the high-level segment.

The registration for side events will proceed as per established practice, you will be able to organize in person, online and hybrid events. 
Make sure to follow the guidelines for side events in 2024 provided by the CND Secretariat!

Only one event per organizer will be accepted. Efforts will be made to accommodate as many requests as possible that meet the eligibility criteria. Events will be accommodated in order of receipt of the application (“first come, first served”). Events submitted by Member States will be accommodated, before all other submissions.

Applications for side events should be made through the online form that will be enabled on 15 January 2024 at 12AM (Vienna time). A template of the application form in pdf format is available here. Organizers are kindly reminded to follow the guidelines for side events in 2024. The guidelines contain relevant information on organizational matters and build upon the lessons learnt from previous sessions. 

Co-sponsoring/Supporting events:

As in previous years organizations can support multiple events through ‘co-sponsoring’. The main organizer of the event is responsible for collecting all support request and needs to send a final list of ‘supporters’ via email to unodc-sgb.events@un.org copying all ‘supporters/co-sponsors’ no later than 15 February 2022.

Promotional materials:

Please note that any promotional materials to be distributed and/or displayed during the 67th CND must be submitted for review to the CND Secretariat (unodc-sgb.events@un.org) by 8 March 2024.

Exhibitions

Kindly note that NGO publications including promotional materials should be displayed on the Civil Society tables that will be made available. It is not necessary to apply for exhibition space to display publications, however please share any promotional materials with the CND Secretariat (unodc-sgb.events@un.org) before 8 March (see above).

Applications for exhibitions should be made by submitting the online application form within the application period (15-26 January). The exhibition application form must be accompanied with a copy of the original design (sketches), and content, or photos. Please first upload your documents to WeTransfer (https://wetransfer.com/), with unodc-sgb.events@un.org as a recipient. Kindly copy/paste the download link into the application form

Spaces for exhibitions are available in the Rotunda and M Building (M0E, M01 and M02). The maximum space allocated for each exhibitor is 4 meters (length) and 3 meters (width).
Due to the limited space the Rotunda is reserved for Member States only. All other organizers will be allocated slots in the M Building.
